3 Floyds Hell's Black Intelligencer

Oatmeal Stout
6% ABV. 28 IBU
On Tap at Pizza Port: Carlsbad, California.
Munster, Indiana

Beautiful deep, dark espresso color.
Bitchen beige bubble buildup.
Smells like dark roasted, iced coffee.
Tastes, unsurprisingly but nonetheless wonderful, of rich,
dark roasted, earthy coffee.
With that amazing backdrop of chocolate malt.
At first it was heavier on the bittersweet rich coffee flavors with a hint of
sweet and creamy roasty chocolate goodness lingering in the background.
As it warmed the luscious chocolate flavors intensified and it was even better.
Perhaps because it is an oatmeal stout the creamy oat goodness made it more chewy and creamy.
Incredibly tasty and an excellent chocolaty, creamy, coffee stout.
I would love to try this with a higher ABV, and/or barrel-aged.
Thank you 3 Floyds. Thank you Pizza Port.
